If this is illegal, inappropriate or in any way bad bad bad, I'm sorry (sort of).

If anyone can add even $1 to this it would mean so much! Thank you!

I think this is a great cause and a great thing you are doing by sharing it with others. Have you tried posting it on other social media sites; like facebook, twitter, pinterest etc? The more people who hear about this type of thing the better. A suggestion in addition to the link; explain what the cause is and how they can help.

People on BM donate to other groups who are in need of books!

Thank you for the ideas Zoey. I'm not a social media person actually which makes it difficult to spread the word. I find Facebook like Big Brother - plus they track everything we do online. So I ask someone who is into this kind of social stuff to spread the word.

Yes, I know we donate to groups - charities on Bookmooch. I've given to lots of them but many seem flush with points to get books right now. The books they want don't seem on offer so they have lots of points last I checked. So I moved to this. They reached the goal so its good.

I'm glad they succeeded!

Thank you RidewayGirl! These are 3rd graders in East Harlem who live in temporary shelters for the most part as they are homeless. The link takes you to that project but there are others for certain literature books - I won't bother people here tho - I was working on getting them the basics and that they have done. I thank the two people who added their contributions who may have been from here!
