The Last Song pgs 1-101

Ronnies parents are separated, and she is sent to live with her dad for the summer. Ronnie hasnt talked to her dad for a long time, and doesnt want to go. Still her mom makes her brother, and her go. Ronnie has had a troubled past few years, getting caught stealing, or sneaking out of the house and hanging with the wrong kinds of people. When she gets to her dads house, she sneaks off and goes to the fair, their not only does she get pop spilt on her, but she meets new friends. Not the kind her dad would be proud of her having.

My opinion: I can kind of understand why Ronnie acts the way she does. I havent had my parents split up, but I can see how it must have been very hard. I personally would have kept in touch with my dad though, because some relationships just don't work out. I think Ronnie hangs out with the wrong people because she wants to be rebelious, and wants to do exactly what shes told NOT to do. When Ronnie sees her dad for the first time in many years she just leaves, and doesn't say hi. I think this is rude, and I would never do it. Ronnie doesn't trust people easily seeing what had happened to her. This to me is completly understandable, but it is something I think she should work on. To be honest I have seen the movie, but the book is so much more detailed, it makes it better. You get to see how Ronnie feels and thinks, more then the movie does.
