Water for Elephants
pg. 1-100

Jacob Jankowski is a single child in his family and his parents recentally came to the United States from Poland. He lives in Ithaca and goes to Cornell University. the day of his exam his whole world is turned upside down. That day Jacob found out that both of his parents have died in a car accident. Now Jacob originally in the book now a days is 90 or 93 as though that is what it says in the book. Anyway his parents had died in a car accident and he is so distraut and depressed about it he does not know what to do or which way to turn. He tries to take his maters degree at Cornell the major in vetinary science. As it turns out he could not do and ran away from home. That night when Jacob had ran away from home he was by a creek in the woods and noticed a different sound i nthe middle of the woods. Then he realized that he had found some railroad tracks right next to him. Jacob had heard the train coming and fro no particular reason he had jumped on to the train. That night he was confused but nervous because he did not know what to expect. When the train had stopped they were setting up for the circus and he thought it was so different but amazing. The next couple of days he works on the circus scooting the animals poop. One night Camel who helped Jacob in the circus brought him to the ring master. Jacob met August and August came out to be very head strong and hard core. Alhtough August at first did not think he liked Jacob but he warmed up to him. One day August asked Jacob who his favorite skit was and he said it was the lady with the black and white horses. August said that was his wife Marlena. Marlena is Augusts wife and she is the star attraction at the circus. Jacob moved into the train and everybody on the train has a roomate and Jacob ending up being with Kinko. Kinko is a miget who has a jack-russel terrier named Queenie. One night Marlena and August invited Jacob to eat with them. That night lasted so long and August had to much to drink. He had to much to drink so he grabbed Marlenas chin and and pulled it to his face. Jacob also had to much to drink and stayed over night there. Jacob and August one day had fed the cats and Jacob put the meet in the trailer and the lion bit Jacob. August was laughing so hard because he said the lion did not have any teeth. After that Jacob was very mad at him.

I think this book is very good and interesting to read about. i can not wait to read the end of it.

Jacob was so in shock he did not know what to do with his life. He also felt very sick for a week or so and did not know what to do with his house or if he should finish college. This was a very distraught part in the book.
