As you know Katie was framed for murdering a baby and being accused she was pregnant. Now Katie is still at home with Ellie and she can't leave her house without Ellie. I just finished reading Part 1 in the book and this week i am going to start reading Part 2.
I think Katie did have the baby and because she is so youong and this is such a big event in her life, she is going paranoid from it. I think thats why she is constantly denying the situation to her family, friends, and her church.
