1-100 *P.S. i was getting tired of my other series so i took a break and decided to read another book*

This book is based of John Grogan and his real life experiences with his dog Marley. In these pages you learn alot about John and his life story. At the start of the first chapter, he describes his childhood dog. One thing you can take from his description is that he was always looking for the perfect dog, or perfect anything. Along the journey of his wife and him getting this not so perfect dog and then having a baby come into the picture, they seem to learn alot about themselves. Before the baby came, John seemed to finally learn he couldn't control everything and Marley brought him and his wife closer.
This book has started out great and i think that many people would enjoy this story.

Would you ever like a dog like Marley? Why or why not? Also, I saw the movie and it was quite enjoyable.

Yes. I actually had a dog just like Marley, but we only had him for six months. The movie was very good.

1-196 *Spolier Alert*
As the family grew, Marley seemed to become more behaved. This trait runs with most labs, and they usually settle down as they age. The family moved into a house more toward the edges of town, and of course Marley loved this. The children would always be greeted by a happy, tail wagging and loyal dog when they got off the school bus. Are these the traits that so many years ago helped the humans decide to domesticate the dog?

When Marley was about 13 years old his stomach flips and all the gas are stuck upside down. The vet could fix the problem the first time and Marley was fine for awhile. The choices were do surgery or put him to sleep. John decides not to put Marley through surgery. The kids were very sad and i think i would be too if i were going to lose my best friend. Marley was buried under two cherry trees and the family said he will always be remembered. The book said ,” Marley was a funny, bigger-than-life bad boy, who never did learn to obey very well. Honestly, he just might have been the world’s worst-behaved dog”

This book really applys to the American dream concept. Although Marley was not a perfect dog, he really made the family's lives perfect. By being a loyal dog until the end, he helped the family learn that you don't have to be perfect to have a great life. Marley also taught the family that you should live life to the fullest. Do you think that Marley would be a dog you would have loved?

What would you do in this situation? would you want to put a dog through surgery or put him down to sleep? Sounds like a very good book.

I had a yellow lab like that except she was 15 years old and we decided to put her down, cause her joints were bad and we could not put her through surgery. I remember watching this movie at home, it brought back alot of memories.
