Invasion of the Boy Snatchers
p. 1-103
Summary:
In this book, the girls are on Winter Break. Not all of the friends are together this year. Massie and Claire are gone in Aspen, Alicia is in Spain.
Alicia brought back her popular, pretty cousin Nina. Massie, however, is definietly not a personal fan of her. Massie hears new news that her cousin, Claire, is moving to Chicago. Claire does not know of this yet. Suprisingly though, Massie is bummed about the news so decideds to be kind to Claire for awhile. Now, Claire finally gets to wear Massie's amazing clothes.
The two girls go out together to Alicia's cousin Nina's welcome party. Both play hard to get in front in front of their crushes and ignore them, which only causes more fights and disappointments.
Massie and Claire's families go out on a nice dinner together, arguments happened, but Massie's dad in offereing Claire's dad a promotion for working and letting them remodel the guest house. Meanwhile, they get to live in the fancy main house with the Block's.
This book does have a couple of connections. it definetly has part of an American dream. Also, it has the typically rich families, middle class, and less blessed families like Claire's. Massie and her family and friends live the typical rich, American dream life.
Ethical connections: Massie's actions can often lead to morals. She either does very kind things for her friend/cousin, Claire, or makes snyd remarks or does hurtful things towards other girls in the school.

It sounds like Massie is trying to do it all. Is it possible to be a nice person sometimes and mean others? Or, are you the same person all the time?

Lisa Harrison. And she's only nice to certain people. It depends on her mood and the situation the girls are in.
