This could probably go to the LT admin, but I thought I'd ask here...is there a way to track how many people view/visit the Milwaukee LGBT Center's LT page?

I was looking to verify that more people are coming to the Center to check out books because of seeing stuff they like on the LT catalog, and wondered if this was something that LibraryThing could do.

I don't know if there is, but, if there were, how would that tell you whether the people coming to the Center were the same people viewing your LT page?

You could take a brief survey of library visitors and ask where they learned of the library.

Some folks here have those visitor maps on their LT pages. Those services read the IP address that's requesting the image and matches it against a database of where that address is known to be from. It's not perfect though. Many databases have my library's IP address as being inn China but it's better than nothing. Also folks can throw off the data being collected.

Not sure what mapping services are allowed here. Many of those map services use a javascript to create the map and the LT will probably strip that out as it's a security risk.

here's one thread covering the subject:

Hope this helps,

Another one is the flags widget. I have that one on my profile page. It counts how many times your profile has been visited and also how many distinct visitors by IP (I suppose) and where they are from.
