The ancient wise King Solomon said, "...Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body." - NIV.

Now a school age kid could take this quote and use it against doing so much home work, right?

The Questions for discussion: What kind of study wearies the body? What type of books do you think are really wearisome to a person?

Oh, hey! This message passed me without notice when it was new. I was just noodling around and stumbled upon it.

Hi pre20. Glad to have you here. I agree with your profile comment about older books. Yay! another odd - er - maybe that's not polite.

I can remember being weary of study, but it energizes me nowadays. I'd be a perpetual student if I could afford it.

Let me think on't.
See you later.

Sometime ago I heard of a woman who was a perpetual student. Perhaps student loan racket was not so obvious then. Be a perpetual student at home, relatively free, low cost,

I've used the library as my 'university' for ever so long. But every now and then I get to take a course at the community college (monetary and time priorities make it rare) and have a blast. The discipline of having to meet another's expectations in assignments and deadlines is invigorating, and I've found the classroom fellowship to be wonderful.
I'm 7 years away from qualifying for free tuition as a senior. *big smile*
