La mia biblioteca
So far, I seem to be entering books mainly from my childhood library. I'll get the grown-up books in there, little by little. I guess that many of the most magical books were the ones I read from ages 8-14. It's been fun to see that there are other readers out there who also loved some of my less-well-known favorites, like She Was Nice to Mice and I Was a 98-lb. Duckling. Silly, happy books. Happy reading!
Informazione su di me
Ahhh, books. Publishing pundits are always sounding the death knell for the printed book, but we all know differently. No slick e-reader can replace deckled edges and smooth, worn covers, or the satisfying heft and warmth of a favorite book. There's nothing as delicious as the smell of a clean old book -- have you ever noticed that libraries with a long history smell a little like toasted books?

I have a bookstore in Vermont and am a writer with one book out so far. LibraryThing is a dangerous new habit for me. Some day, I plan to scan in all the obscure old happy paperbacks I've entered, like Mr. Pudgins, whose covers really should be available to admire.
