- La mia biblioteca
- I currently work at the Social Law Library in the John Adams Courthouse, Boston, MA. This library is actually the oldest still-operating law library in America, and was built upon the personal libraries of some of our country's founders. It is an interesting place to work, especially in the ways our older rare materials interact, coincide and complement newer materials and modern day legal situations, and vice versa. I am very interested in the ways new technologies are changing libraries, while also being fascinated by library history, and this library is a perfect combination of those two interests.
- Informazione su di me
- I am currently a graduate library science student at Simmons College, in Boston, MA. I have worked in a public library, and currently am employed in a law library, and hope to continue working in any kind of library. My real passion is public libraries, however, because of their historical missions to maintain free access to all individuals and to serve as judgment-free zones where people of all walks can access the tools they need to grow and thrive in society today. I am an avid reader (obviously!) of both fiction and non-fiction, while also being an insatiable news junkie and magazine reader. I'm interested in new technologies and the issues and capabilities they offer to library patrons, while also cultivating an interest in the history of libraries and their roles in different societies. Libraries rule!
