Lincoln Center Institute brings dance, film, music, theater, visual arts, and architecture from a diversity of cultures into classrooms around the New York metropolitan area and across the nation with an approach that strengthens learning across the curriculum. Founded in 1975, the Institute is the educational cornerstone of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., and a global leader in education and the arts. During two weeks each summer, the Institute welcomes nearly 2,000 international educators, administrators, and other visitors for Summer Session, a series of intensive professional development courses that form the foundation of yearlong partnerships.
