La mia biblioteca
My library reflects my interest in water technology and history, my interest in Rome and archaeology, and my long-standing love of cities and landscapes.
Informazione su di me
Trained as an architect, I teach architecture at California College of the Arts in San Francisco. I am also an urban historian. My book "The Waters of Rome: Aqueducts, Fountains, and the Birth of the Baroque City," Yale University Press, 2011 won The John Brinkerhoff Jackson Award for Landscape History from the Foundation for Landscape Studies in 2011. My most recent book "Francesco's Fountain" is for children. A work of historical fiction, it tells the story of a young boy who helps build the Trevi Fountain in the 18th century.
