- The crates collecting dust in the barn of my parents' farm are full of moldering copies of the usual college and high school assigned classics. In addition, there are lots of travel essays by Paul Theroux and Bruce Chatwin, big fat Russian novels, and a few paperbacks that I stole from the London bookstore where I used to work.
