Information professional and systems analyst/project manager by day, until retirement at end of 2018, and musician on nights and weekends, primarily with the New York Choral Society, nychoral.org, for 28 years - performing primarily in Carnegie Hall, and also in Avery Fisher Hall [now Geffen Hall], Alice Tully Hall, St Patrick's Cathedral, Cathedral of St John the Divine.

Earned a BMusic in Music Ed, while simultaneously a math whiz -- took computing classes and calculus for math majors in undergrad -- and when I didn't get a teaching job right out of school, I ended up working in academic and research libraries. Most notably, six years in The Ohio State University Libraries in the beginning of OCLC, in the OCLC cataloging unit. Before OCLC had its own offices, they rented a quonset hut from OSU at the eastern edge of campus. The OSUL "Quick Editing Unit" was OCLC's demonstration site for those years. Worked in early electronic publishing -- first in database publishing in Philly, 1980-85, and then in full text publishing and automatic indexing with IEEE, 1993-1995.
