Quick Author Bio

I am a Los Angeles based Author/Editor who edits and writes for Black Lyfe Publications. I enjoy California's mountianous views and great weather, not to mention southern California's beautiful beaches. Born and raised in Manhattan, (Harlem) NY, and orphaned by the tender age of nine years, I turned towards reading so naturally school became my sanctuary. It was there that I learned to value education and developed a passion for reading mystery, fiction, historical fiction and other genres of literature; just to name a few. I was raised by my aunt, Mrs. Frances Hurt, who happened to value the education of children more than the average parent/guardian. My favorite subjects in school were History and Science. As a result of this newly found tenacity to learn I remained on the Honor Roll the majority of my academic career. I loved authors such as Donald J Sobol and Judy Blume growing up. I love to travel and explore new places; both physically and mentally. It is safe to say that it was not by accident I would later become a writer of Historical Fiction bringing all of you historical facts and characters blanketed in sheer creative imagination. I'm even venturing into urban novels so watch out!
