La mia biblioteca: As I mentioned above, our library is split into three libraries. One at each of our respective work offices - which makes two libraries. The common library is at our home which include a diverse range of books. We love to read. Unfortunately, due to space constraints, we cannot keep all of the books which we read. Although, we do have a small collection of some favorites at around just over 700 books. We are always looking to expand our collections. Please feel free to help us expand our literary range.
Informazione su di me: Hello Everyone,

First and foremost, I love to read books. My wife often says one of the greatest assets I had to offer her when we met was my love for a 'good library'. Needless to say, our libraries are often expanding in different places (in our respective offices at work), and our common library at home. Our common library is at just over 700 books -- as of December of 2017. This does not include other libraries at our respective offices. We love to read. We love education. And as each of us know, some of the best education comes through sitting and reading a book. Did I tell you that I love books? Alright, here is a little background "about me"...

My professional background is as follows: I am a physical chemist by education. I work at the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at California State University at Northridge. My duties include maintaining instrumentation along with training both faculty and students on various instruments which are used for chemistry research and teaching purposes.

Additionally, I have served in the United States Air Force from 1996-2000. I love to be outdoors when I am not sitting and reading a good book. Also, I am super interested in learning how to communicate the value of science to the general public. Breaking down the barriers toward engaging with science (i.e. learning science) is a large interest for me. In order to do so, I try to read as widely as possible (as time allows). I am a literary work in progress...meaning that I am always looking for a good read. Please feel free to e-mail me or comment to make my education stronger.

Last but not least, I write on a blog site called "Mike Thinks" at www.jmkthought.blogspot.com. My aim is to share my informal thoughts about popular science in the news and clarify large statistics which are poorly presented in the media. Check out the blog and feel free to leave comments on how I can improve the quality of the site.
