I am a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and wandering adventurer who left decades of grown-up life on the East Coast at age sixty to return to the mountains, beaches, and rain of my soul’s home in the Pacific Northwest. I blog about my adventures from coffee shops, my father’s desk, national park lodges, my tent—wherever I feel cozy. My memoir about companioning my mother to her end of life, Mother Lode: Confessions of a Reluctant Caregiver, will be published in October 2022. I live with my cat Lena in my childhood home in a small town in Washington—the real one.
