R.D. Knighten is the founder of GembayBooks.com, an independent publishing website that provides motivational and spiritual development literature for readers of all ages.

In 2008, he co-founded Odyssey Ink, Inc. (501c-3), a Ft. Worth, TX based non-profit organization created to respond to the need for male mentoring programs in the district. Knighten earned his bachelors degree in Journalism and Advertising from the University of North Texas. Knighten was born in Baker, LA. and currently resides in Music City with his wife, daughter, and their dog, Labelle.
