It is our mission to be winsome, godly, competent leaders in the church and marketplace. We hope that these things are reflected in our library.

We are an evangelical church in the Wesleyan tradition. We trace our roots through the Church of England and the Methodist Episcopal Church.

In 1860 BT Roberts was expelled from the Methodist Episcopal Church because he preached against slavery, rented pews, "cold" worship, and called for holy living. So we are "Free Methodist"...freedom from slavery, free pews, freedom for women in ministry, and freedom of the Spirit in worship.

- Part of the Wesleyan heritage is caring for the poor. One way we work that out is to provide a community meal every Saturday.
- This local Free Methodist Church is part of the Azusa Pacific University Community.
- We hope that every person who worships here will think, "If this is what it means to follow Christ, I want to be a part of it!"
