I love books & ran a bookstore/art-gallery in Missoula, Montana, for five months in 2003, after being fired from the U of Montana, for protesting the Iraq War. Much of my library is now in storage under my mother's house in Olympia, Washington, where I put it after leaving Montana. My working library at home goes on growing, in many subject-areas.

A poet, linguist, & retired professor, I live in Felton, Santa Cruz County, California, among the towering redwoods. I'm active in a monthly poets salon in Santa Cruz. A YouTube channel: "PeaceForce13" presents a cultural-political variety-show with me as m.c., recorded while I was a candidate for president in 2008.
