As a writer, I read extensively. In recent years, my focus has been on WWII fiction, so books about that era in Australia and Europe - both non-fiction and fiction - have dominated my reading list.

Highly recommended is a pictorial book about internment in Australia during WWII called 'Dunera Lives: A Visual History', which features paintings and sketches done by transportees from Great Britain who became inmates of internment camps at Hay (New South Wales) and Tatura (Victoria).
