I tried, several times, but I just couldn't get into this one. I think perhaps I'm not the intended audience, though I am a woman approaching forty. I got the impression, strongly, that these are upper middle class women, with a decidedly different set of goals than I have. As a happily divorced mother of two, with deep interest in permaculture and need to serve my community, I would have thought the words of other determined woman in their middle age (and beyond) would speak to me, but...they just didn't.

I hope this book will resonate with others, because the concept had me hopeful, it just isn't for me. I couldn't finish it. I just couldn't. Some authors you gel with, others you don't, and even the introduction I found off-putting, so I suppose this is not one I gel with. I'll be passing it along to someone else, though I don't know who yet.… (altro)
