Gist's Promised Land di Paula Kitty Wright
The author takes a little known piece of history and brings back to life the ex-slaves who settled the Gist Settlements in Brown and Highland Counties in Ohio. Their struggles, past and present, are brought to light. I would have preferred to read a little more on the personal side of the settlement and settlers and how they lived.
