Kind of a by-the-numbers book, but starring Doc Savage's less-famous cousin. If I could wish for one thing in these Millenium books about Doc and his assorted team and family, it's that they could at least make Doc and Pat the paragons of the species both are supposed to be. Doc looks not much different from any other guy in the comics, and Pat? Yeah, for someone who's supposed to be as arrestingly beautiful as Doc is handsome, she kind of looks skanky in this. And for a book with five artists and six inkers, you'd think one of them could do her justice.

Pat was a feisty ball of fun whenever she showed up in the Savage adventures, a less disciplined, more by-the-gut woman who could pretty much shut down Doc when no one else could (or find a way around him). Some of that's shown here, but only clumsily.… (altro)
