The Eclectic Witch's Book of Shadows: Take Control of Your Life by Rev. Jessica Westis a good well-rounded collection of spells for the beginner witch. It is a great guideline for starters.
However,this is strictly a book of spells. Some keep some historical information, charts and recipes among many other things in their BOS. If you are looking for something with a bit of background information about a spell or an ingredient used in a spell, this book is not for you entirely.
It does contain a wide range and good variety of spellwork that all witches can appreciate.
I do recommend this book for anyone who is trying to learn more about the structure of spells or how to write a spell. Reading and studying the spells within this book will provide a good basic guideline.
