The book is a short bible study that takes you through the book of Galatians. I liked that the author went very methodically verse by verse and explained each one in great detail. At the end of each chapter are study questions which are helpful. The author has also included a personal application which helps readers reflect on what they read and apply it to their life.

I did like the stories at the beginning of each chapter that talk about everyday people and their struggles. I remember the chapter where the man felt he wasn't worthy to go to church. He was afraid of messing up . It was a great example of God's love and acceptance. The author has done a good job of having stories that reflect the scriptures for that chapter.

Chapter three really caught my attention and I think I studied it more than any other chapter. The story the author uses is about someone who is afraid of messing up and slipping back into his old ways. I can't tell you how many times I have thought the same thing. God is right there to help us if we struggle and to reassure us that He loves us. The enemy loves nothing more than to tempt us and put doubt in our mind. I loved this chapter because the scriptures really help me understand salvation more and that we are saved by the grace of God. We need to continue our walk in faith and know that God loves us unconditionally.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

One of my favorite books in the Bible is Galatians, a book written by Paul. If God can use someone like Paul to spread His Gospel message, He can turn anyone else’s life around as well. This book contains devotionals about imperfect people trying to turn their lives around to God and develop a deeper relationship with Him. It demonstrates the importance of following God’s Word and being with God’s people.

The devotional section is followed by a conversation relating to the Bible, the book of Galatian, and the words of Paul. It includes questions for reflection, some contain Scripture passages to refer to, while others call for inner reflection. Personal application questions are also included, as well as points to ponder and prayers.

This workbook will cause you to think and should be read with your Bible and a notebook or other means of recording your thoughts and feelings. So check it out for yourself.

I received a copy of this book for my fair and honest review.

When I was offered a chance to use this small, powerful book, I jumped at the chance. My goal as with most Christians is to draw closer to God, and after completing lessons here I felt I had moved on in my Faith.
I had been looking for something to do at home, and this fit what I was looking for! It challenged me, and found myself looking forward to the quiet time I would be allotting each day to do my lessons.
I always enjoy personal stories and testimonies, and each chapter of study begins with one. Besides the lesson I enjoyed the reflection at the end with the personal application, really made me think!
I would recommend this for use in your Small Group, or for me that is not possible, I loved the individual study!

I received this book through Celebrate Lit, and was not required to give a positive review.

The Book of Galatians isn't a long book, just six chapters, but it is a vital book to believers. it reminds us that God loves us, He forgives us, and he offers the 'blessed assurance' that no matter how badly we mess up, He will continue to love us. In his letter to the people of Galatia, the Apostle Paul wanted them to realize that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by any works that they could do.

This book, Letter from Paul, is a devotional and study guide that helps us understand the difference between law versus love; works versus grace. In each of the chapters author Mary Weins uses easy-to-understand language and the same format---a devotion to illustrate the main point of the chapter; the Bible scripture itself; Study Questions; Personal Application; Something to Ponder; Prayers; and Reflections. I especially like that there is space provided to write our answers to the questions and to make notes about our reflections.

I think that Letter from Paul will prove to be a valuable resource for both new believers and mature Christians and I can see it being used as both a personal devotional or a group study guide.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit but a positive review was not required. These are my own opinions.
