The ALSC blog is a key professional resource for librarians working with children, whether in a public library or school. Many posts center around programming suggestions for children from infancy through their teenage years, while other posts address other portions of the blog’s mission, including conferences and current issues in the field. All of the bloggers are active in the field of children’s librarianship, with varying degrees of experience, and guest bloggers are welcome as well. Though the blog does allow for comments from readers, the comments section in general is not as active as on some review blogs and most posts do not generate in-comment discussion. The blog breaks down posts by category and has an effective search box, allowing readers to both browse and find topics of specific interest to them. All in all, a very strong professional resource for all librarians who work with children, and an excellent way to become or stay active in the professional community.… (altro)
