Although there is not much character description or development in this novel, the main characters come across as lifelike and likeable. It seems obvious to me that Anthony loves and cares deeply for Eileen, even though there are very little or almost no scenes of endearment or romance.
What Anthony stages for his wife is quite farreaching and absolutely nonconsensual to begin with and develops into dub-con.
The tale is definitely gripping, and - clears throat - hot. I mean, hot. In a slightly uncomfortable way. Best read when the schedule can be cleared as the reader might want to engage in spur of the moment activities as a result of reading.
The writing is excellent, in tempo as well as style.
The subject matter might not be to everyone's taste, but if the capturing by pirates has ever seemed like an interesting propiosition in former dreams, this novel may push the right buttons for you. Highly recommended.… (altro)
