Recensioni

A handsome young Italian polyglot, Lorenzo Vidino is the rock star of counterterrorism... or so I like to think. Among his many gifts are an encyclopedic knowledge of Al Qaeda and the ability to take an absolutely daunting amount of data - enough names, dates, places, groups, known associates, and incidents to make one's head spin - and weave them into a coherent and gripping narrative. Some of the cat and mouse stuff that goes down between European intelligence agencies and members of terror cells is really amazing. While some of the jihadis are pretty dim, others are regular James al-Bonds, albeit low budget ones. More like MacGyvers, then. Anyway, fascinating stuff and the absolute best book on this particular subject.
