What a struggle for newspaper editors in Apartheid SA. But some stories only cursorily dealt with. Also digressed extensively into newspaper politics which is of less interest.½

This is a well written book, combining fiction with fact to keep the reader's attention. The fictional characters blend so well into factual events that history actually comes alive. I learned a lot about historical characters whom I had admired and about those of whom I had known so little. A very thought provoking read, which lights the flame to read up more about some of the very real characters of our past history.
