I ordered this book because my husband is a descendant of Ele Azor Parrett, brother of the author's ancestor. He's never had the chance to know his paternal grandmother's branch of the family very well, and I've enjoyed helping him fill in some gaps where I can. I've read poorly written and poorly researched family histories in the past, and this was neither--it was a pleasure to read, and I was impressed by the quality of the research. I appreciated how the author places each generation of the family within their respective historical contexts and takes some modest imaginative license, without becoming too fanciful or sentimental.… (altro)
