Seattle Post-Intelligencer columnist, Art Thiel wrote the prescient look at the rise of the Mariners from the ashes after the 1995 season. He chronicles the changes that took the M's from being a team of talented all-stars with little pitching to opening Safeco Field and fielding the 2001 record breaking team. Finally, he also foretells the sorry state the team finds itself in today. I didn't believe it then, but I certainly give Thiel credit now. For all real Mariners fans.
