A very comprehensive guide to the various systems on board ship for which a marine engineer is responsible. The introduction is correct when it states that it is intended more for people who already have some background in this field; as a layperson I was frequently bewildered. The writing style was also ponderous, with strange sentence constructions and not enough commas for clarity. Still, if you're familiar with the field, this might be a good resource.
