Super-Awesome Sylvia

Sylvia is a young maker who creates instructional videos to show other people how to make cool things. The projects in her videos can be crafty or technological, or both when she makes soft circuitry. The site includes all of her videos from three seasons worth of shows, as well as a blog detailing all of her maker adventures.

To say Sylvia is “super-awesome” is an understatement. She could be a tremendous inspiration to makers of all ages, but especially girls. They will see someone like them who is doing fun and interesting things with STEM technology and crafts, and they will hopefully want to be like her. Her videos are aimed at children who are old enough to do things like sewing or soldering while being supervised, though some projects like Squishy Circuits could be done with younger children. Teens and adults will also probably like the types of projects that Sylvia does.
