This book was an informational book. It was designed to teach children about the history of shoes. It taught children how shoes were made from 4,000 years ago to the present. I liked this book for various reasons. One reason was because it is nonfiction and gives organized and accurate facts. For example, the author states, "Sandals are good for walking in hot and sandy places. Egypt is a very hot, sandy place. People in Egypt were wearing sandals more than 4,000 years ago! Today, people in Egypt and other warm places still wear sandals." I like how this book gives the history of shoes and who used to wear what type of shoes and why. It also gives a detailed explanation of how shoes were made. Overall, this book was a good read.… (altro)
