What a wonderful romp of a moral tale this is. This is one of the free ebooks I got for my iPhone and it has turned out to be a gloriously entertaining read. It is full of lovely moral certainties and the assumption that the readers will all be young adult males of the "right" kind.

Andy is very upright and straight but with a great sense of fun and sportsmanship. He is an average but hard-working student who learns that a man's true measure can be taken from his worth - his achievements and works - rather than from his money. He is thoughtful and places the honour of Yale above all else, bowing always to the wisdom of his elders and of tradition. When faced with the impossible-to-contemplate - a Yale man as thief - there is a glorious line:

"Yale is bigger than any of us - better than any of us. We must consider the honor of Yale above all else."

A simply delightful romp. I wonder what other gems are out there waiting to be discovered?… (altro)
