This is a schoolbook-style presentation of Mr. Coolidge, kind of "the vase without the flowers". I certainly got a sense of who he was and how he impacted the USA we now live in. It seems to me that the pro-business world we have was deeded to us by Mr. Coolidge's belief that government had no business trying to direct or control business. For five years in a position of power he allowed that seed to grow to proportions that we may never be able to reduce. He even cut taxes on the people raking in the most lucre. His humorous quip that, four-fifths of a persons problems can be alleviated by sitting perfectly still, might actually have been the true shape of the man.… (altro)
