I found this rather interesting. I read a lot of good books by indies, and it’s a simply a case of taking a chance on new and unfamiliar names. On many occasions, the cover and blurb belie the content. Sometimes, the content comes as a pleasant surprise. Sometimes, you have to persevere, after a sticky start, to get to a satisfactory The End. The point is, you never really know if a book is going to be good or bad. The weather is very changeable between those covers.

This book aims to help readers of non-fiction pick up genuine ebooks on their selected topics. It helps the reader filter out the real deal from the flotsam and jetsam clogging the biggest book store in the world.

Although focussed on non-fictional books, a good deal of the advice can be applied to fiction. Some authors may find some of the advice comes as no surprise, but I’m not an author, so the material, for me, was informative.

I was extremely impressed by the book’s presentation. English is not the author’s first language. Nonetheless, it’s clear, concise, well written and impeccably edited. If the indie books I read were even half as well edited, I’d be a very happy reader.

It’s only ninety pages long, so can be consumed in one short sitting. If it helps you choose just one genuine ebook, fiction or non-fiction, it’s worth that couple of hours.

A quick read, but he packs a lot of great advice into a few pages. Each chapter is only 3 or 4 pages that outline a specific idea on how to improve time management. Stawicki is concise, practical, and honest. Recommended for anyone wanting to improve their time management skills.

If you want some concise, practical ideas on creating a personal mission statement, this is what you want. Michal gives numerous resources to go further if you want but also provides tons of exercises and thought provoking questions to think through. Much appreciated.

This book isn't bad, and for some people, I'm sure it'll be quite good. Unfortunately, for me, it didn't reveal too much that I either haven't done or haven't figured out on my own, etc., because in retrospect, I've been a pretty successful networker over the years, and have an extremely high-quality LinkedIn network, which I didn't need to read a book to know how to successfully grow and maintain. So I'm really not sure why I even bought this book. I guess I was hoping there'd be a number of tips regarding strategies I'd not yet tried or encountered, but I guess I'm better than I realized, because this was pretty basic for me so I didn't get that much out of the book and didn't even finish it. That said, I do think it's decently written and there are probably a number of people out there that this book will likely help. With those people in mind, this book is recommended. Obviously, if you're a vet, you don't need this book...… (altro)
