The prologue warned me, but I still wasn’t fully prepared for how dark this story got – and I enjoyed every minute of it. Starza draws you in innocently enough, and before you know it, you’re standing in a dark pub making friends in a tiny town by the sea that has lost its former glory. The way things are described it’s like you’re there, in the MCs body, watching, feeling, hearing, even smelling all that they do. It kind of brought me back to my college days, (even though this is set during the summer I was born). Then the twist hits you, hard. You won’t see it coming, and it will leave you breathless. The weather is getting warmer here, but I had goosebumps covering my arms. If you enjoy a charming but creepy and dark thriller, you’ll want to grab this, and enjoy the chills as you read it!… (altro)

I went into this expecting about the standard wheel of the year fare, with a little extra to fill in the other months, but I got so much more out of this than I expected. Each month has some history, some lore on flora, and suggestions on how to celebrate. There are rituals and guided visualizations included, which I really appreciated, and even if you don't exactly follow the rituals included, they're a good springboard for making your own. I think my favorite part though was the lore and uses of flowers and other plants that were included. I ended up learning quite a bit as I read through this. It's well organized, and while you can jump around and only read the month you're in or preparing to enter, you can also easily read it cover to cover. Definitely recommend for pagans looking for inspiration on ways to celebrate all months of the year.… (altro)
