Alessandro Spina

This was a bit of a curates egg for me. Interesting as a frank and critical account of Italian colonisation of Libya written by a first hand observer, but quirkily written. The good parts rise high, but there's some dross as well.
There is a second volume available in English translation. I expect to get that book sometime in the future and continue this venture into unusual literature.
