The dialogue was unnatural and there are a few typos. On the other hand, I liked the complexity and creativity of the premise. Unfortunately, the police procedural style is disempowering for the reader as she just has to wait for all to be revealed, without actively solving a mystery herself.

This police procedural is cleverly plotted but marred by excessive dialogue which slows the pace and keeps the characters shallow. Otherwise, the book is well written.

This was cleverly written so the complicated story was easily deciphered with the help of the characters in the book. The plot was good, as were the characters. The dialogue was at times stilted to convey information. The punctuation was careless in often using a comma instead of writing a new sentence or two. There were one or two minor inconsistencies. Despite these drawbacks, I loved the story.

This magnificent world building is consistent throughout. The idea is very interesting. Unfortunately, the writing style was difficult for me. The prose and much of the dialogue were like a report. This emphasis on telling made the characters flat and I felt bored despite so much happening all the time.
