Miranda is determined to do anything she can to make the school hottie, Stormy Kincaid, fall in love with her, including chanting a spell in a graveyard at midnight. As luck would have it instead of a fool-proof love spell Miranda accidentally summonses the ghostly spirit of Monday, a bonafide 1950s hunk bent on revenge against his ex-girlfriend. As Miranda and Monday help each other towards the culmination of their goals at the Spring Dance Miranda is soon in a quandary. Should she continue to try and snare the no longer so elusive Stormy, or should she concentrate on Monday who may just be the ghost of her dreams?

This is a very cute, fluffy and short little ghost story firmly set in the '80s with a few glimpses back into Monday's '50s. It may seem a bit dated but since I grew up in the '80s it was all good. As with some others of the '80s genre ya stories I've read there wasn't a lot of in depth emotional draw or characterization but it was easy to read and enjoy. I especially found the ending to be cute, if a bit schmaltzy.

A nice little bit of flashback I'd suggest to an '80s girl wishing to indulge in a little bit of nostalgia.½
