Virginia Sexton

What would you do if the person that was your mentor betrayed you? Would you seek revenge? What would happen if you found out that there was a valid reason for the portrayal? Jacob had to answer these very questions. Lily was the girl who might (or might not be) the victim in this scenario. This was a very quick instalove romance. It was very well written even though it was very fast paced.

I would have loved this book even more if it had been longer. There was so much potential for this book to expand on the premise of the book and also given the readers a chance to get to know the characters even more. The author has certain way with words that I appreciate.

This is the second book that I have had the opportunity to read of Virginia Sexton. The premise started out good but lacked the characterization needed to go further. The characters lacked depth and were bland. Wendy was quite vapid. I needed more from these characters. If this book had been longer it would have given the storyline the time to build to the pinnacle that was needed. I understand shorter stories but if you write them then you run the risk of this happening.

This is the third book that I have had the chance to review for Virginia. I feel like I keep repeating myself, but I really wish they would be longer. They have such great potential to be so much more. That being said, Knox and Crystal had steam and a connection. I wish that there would have been more of a buildup from coming together after their misunderstanding before we got to the conclusion. One of the things that I love the most about Virginia's stories is that she gives a great epilogue and insight into the HEA of the characters.
