- Prof. Schweitzer is professor emeritus of history at Manhattan College in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, NY, where he taught for more than 40 years. He is the co-author with Marvin Perry of the book Anti-Semitism: Myth and Hate from Antiquity to the Present (2005), and co-editor of Jewish-Christian Encounters Over the Centuries: Symbiosis, Prejudice, Holocaust, Dialogue (1994). Prof. Schweitzer was instrumental in creating Manhattan College’s Holocaust Resource Center in 1996 and served as its director until 2007. He was honored with the creation of the annual Frederick M. Schweitzer lecture on the Holocaust.
