Can I ever get enough Risteard? Of course not! And add in his noble eagle Aquila and dedicated horse Rous, and I’m sold! THE KING’S CURE is a delightful novella set in the Riverstone Saga world where Risteard is on an important mission for an ailing king and must journey into the haunted Sessyl Forest. I loved the intricate details and world building. I could picture everything and felt like I was right there! And of course, missions never go as planned, and Risteard may find more than he bargained for in the haunted wood. This was fantastic! 5/5 stars.… (altro)

I LOVE this series so much!! THE PRIDE OF RIVERSTONE (bk 2) takes us back to the gorgeous fantasy world where Laria and Risteard are now married, happily settled into their roles as king and queen, and have five absolutely adorable children. I love series where we get to see the “after” part and while this is Ula’s book and her HEA, we also spend a good deal of time with Laria’s family and I’m glad for it. It's been seven or eight years since the war ended and peace was restored, but Ula is still a bit unsettled. She is now Laria’s ladies’ maid and cares for her nieces and nephews. She has two potential suitors in this book—one is her knight that guards her, Olim, from the kingdom of Ilano, where they travel to in this book, and the other, Finton, a young doctor from Ilano. Without spoilers, Ula must figure out where her heart lies. Some of my favorite moments in this—sisterly moments between Ula and Laria, flirting between Laria and Ristead, seeing what a wonderful father Risteard is with Sulwen, the medieval medicine scenes. Of course, we know peace likely can’t last forever, but there was a good balance of hope and longing in this book that hit all the right notes. I am excited to find out what happens when book three comes out! 5/5 stars.… (altro)
