Do you love daring adventures? True love through all times? Season that with some pirates, sirens, a dark villain and magic unimaginable and you're right at where "The Lion of the Sea" will take you on it's wild ride.
I've read and deeply enjoyed the first book ("The Maiden Ship") in this series and it made my Christmas extra special, when I received an eArc of its sequel.
"The Lion of the Sea" is just as enjoyable as the first book. I absolutely loved to be back on the Maiden, seeing all the wonderful characters again and meeting new and old favourites. Micheline's writing is captivating and the metaphors she uses bring the setting to life. I could hardly put the book down.
I cherish the development the characters go through, both in their own personality and their relationships with each other. Their love and friendship is it, what makes this book speak to my heart. ❤️
I can't wait for the final book in this series, to find out how the story unfolds.… (altro)

It wasn’t bad but for the first 100 pages (out of less than 300) nothing interesting happened outside of exposition. There was more telling than showing, but some parts were well written. I just could not care for the characters or the plot? Dain was alright, so was Sable. The romance was average. I did love the found family.
