The Tall Tales Man by Deepak Rosha is a collection of 15 short stories which take you on a ride through various tunnels of emotions. The stories are really captivating and written with creating some interesting characters. One of the highlights of this collection is the diversity of the stories. Each story has a different vibe taking you in a different world each time. My favorite story among all of these would be Black Well of Ajnala, which gave me really a spooky vibe. Evoking a wide range of emotions in few pages is one of the outstanding qualities of the book.

The author's storytelling style is something to die for which explores each theme with great efficacy. Especially the Tall Tales Man character gives depth to the stories and gives him a distinct personality. Very well crafted stories with history, mythology, horror and emotions infused in them makes the book unputdownable. It is a very short read and can be finished within a day. Even the cover narrates what we are going to experience inside the book. It is my first time reading a book by Deepak Rosha, and it was worth it. Definitely, the book deserves 5 stars and a full recommendation from me.

Pokey is going Jamshedpur to meet his long awaited friend Bal Ravinder Pal [aka Burp]. When they meet they had the best of memories to reminisce. The Saga of the Spy X13...
Pokey and Burp has met in Saint Ferdinand Boarding, run by Spanish Priests. There both go through a fugue-like stage because of the ingoing crisis.
Eventually they get close, and when Pokey returns after his vacation to home, Burp shows the notes he got from some Spy X13, commanding him to be on the standby to some important tasks. The 12yr olds we're excited by this and joins. They then wreck a havoc in the School!
It was set in 1960s, when the Indo-Pak War was going on, which has taken some major role in the story!

Tells about how the Missionary School then, were based on the norm ' corporal punishment '.

Full of suspense and some childishness(ofc it's main characters are 12yr old boys! Who am I kidding!).
The plot drifts in between, BUT the point is you wouldn't even realise it until that is finished (like damn how did I end up here!). Written from a single POV, simple language and a super short 𝑠𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑒 π‘‘β„Žπ‘Ÿπ‘–π‘™π‘™π‘’π‘Ÿ. Also π‘ π‘’π‘›π‘‘π‘–π‘šπ‘’π‘›π‘‘π‘Žπ‘™.
