I feel comforted with the idea that the USA may walk away from engagement with China’s hegemony. Australia may find itself alone and I reckon would cope with that. After the recent referendum
I think the suburban voters of Canberra would cope and be ready to get on with it. But the politicians in Canberra probably won’t be able to change their stance and rhetoric so easily and will want to have all the old links and certainties maintained for far too long.

This book gets my vote for the most ‘easy to read’ book about geo-politics for this year. 10 out of 10.
I have a personal soft spot for Taiwan with its democracy and Christian belief. But I am now fully beside those who reckon Australia has no real ‘skin in the game’ in regard to the conflict between China and Taiwan. I agree that if America wants to get involved we should back away and remove ourselves from ANSUS.
I have bought two small journals by Hugh White, will I buy a hardcover version of this book?
