This book was recommended by my mother as a better than average autobiography and I would tend to agree. It's not flowery or sentimental. The author tells us about her life in a matter of fact and unapologetic way. I did not realise that Ms Robinson had been one of the first women to rise to the higher echelons of written media in the UK, she plays this down and is forgiving of her male colleagues and their treatment of her. Maybe this is because of her battle with alcohol. I would definitely recommend this book. I look upon the author in a new light when I watch 'The Weakest Link'
