This book is an innovative re-telling of the constitutional convention in two ways. First, it is organized by topic rather than chronologically, which helps clarify the evolution in the Founder's thinking on particular issues (which can sometimes get lost in the chaos of the actual back-and-forth agenda order at the convention). Second, it emphasizes the politics that went into the design of the constitution.
